Google Play Music is bidding adieu
Google has already decided to take down Google Play Music. We all have seen this “Google Play Music” app in almost every Android device. Sometimes this Google Play Music app comes as a pre-installed app. We may not have used Google Play Music always but it has provided us a big relief since the early 2012. We have always looked up to Google Play Music when other music streaming apps have betrayed. Google Play Music was announced on May 10, 2011 and it was publicly launched on November 16, 2011. Technibas just wants to keep you updated on upcoming changes to Google Play Music. Between October and the end of this year, access to Google Play Music will be removed permanently. Uploading and downloading music with Music Manager will be discontinued starting in 30 days. But don’t worry – you can always upload your personal music collection to YouTube Music or download your existing tracks via Google Takeout. It won’t be possible to purchase music on Google Play Music anymore, and all pre-orders will be canceled.
So, Google Play Music is getting replaced by YouTube Music (YT Music). You can listen to millions of songs in YouTube Music and can also enjoy the video in a suppressed quality alongside the music based on genres, playlists, and recommendations. Get ready to say GoodBye to Google Play Music and welcome YouTube Music.
YouTube Music was launched on 12 November 2015. It is currently available in almost 100 countries. You can play YouTube Music in various platforms like Android, iOS, Amazon Alexa, Google Nest, Sonos, Android TV, Android Auto etc. Google Assistant works with YouTube Music for voice search.
